  Upcoming Events

Week Commencing February 20th 2012

Positive Points Race: During the week beginning 20th February, we will be visiting all second year classes to launch the annual Positive Points Race which will begin on Monday 27th February for a period of four weeks.  The aim of the programme is to concentrate on positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities and to recognise and reward that in each second year class.  Each class captain and vice-captain will be responsible for their folder and the distribution of forms for set classes and options.  The programme does need time input from teachers of second year to fill out forms at the end of each lesson but we hope that there will be improvements in overall behaviour and participation which will make it all worthwhile.

It has been our experience in the past that students become engaged with the programme and urge each other to do their best to earn points.  Students can earn ten points in every class period.  Cover classes are worth double points and we also introduce regular bonuses to keep motivation high.  These bonuses include surprise bonus teachers, bonus students and bonuses for journals, punctuality, uniform etc.
