Parental Involvement at Castleknock Community College

Since, 1995 a very dedicated and committed Parents' Association has existed in the College. Parents have always played a very active part in the life of the College. In recent years they have been involved in fundraising for Computers, the College Mini-bus and many other worthwhile projects.

The Parents' Association have also hosted many beneficial Information Evenings dealing with issues such as Self-esteem in young People to Drug and Substance Abuse. Furthermore, they have been actively involved in designing policies in the College most notably the College Code of Behaviour.

Other projects have included The Mock Interviews for Leaving Certificates Students and many extra-curricular projects.

The Parents' Association meet once a month and all parents are welcome. Two parents also represent the Parent Body on The Board of Management.

Without the hard work, support and commitment of all the
Parents' Association, our College would not be able to provide an educational experience of such high quality to our students.
